We are halfway through the year, and it is natural to revisit your vision board and check in on your progress. While it is easy to focus on the goals we haven’t accomplished yet, this can be the perfect opportunity to pause, refocus and move with intention. When we move with intention, our daily choices begin to reflect what matters most. It’s less about doing more, and more about what matters. The second half of the year can be a meaningful reset, an opportunity to move forward with more clarity, purpose and self-compassion. The following are a few tips that can guide you in setting your intentions for the next six months:
- Values Clarification- Your values are the beliefs that define what is most important to you. When we are aware of this, it can help guide our choices in life. Understanding your values will help you recognize areas of your life that need attention and what you can prioritize it in the future.
- Small Shifts, Big Impact- Choose one or two meaningful intentions, that feel fair and realistic with the season of life you are in. Build small habits into your routine to help make it easier to maintain. Focus on showing up rather than perfection.
- Emotional Check-In- Make it a habit to check in with yourself and ask yourself, “What do I need right now?” This simple question can help you reconnect with your emotional needs instead of functioning on autopilot. Simply notice and name your emotions, without judgement.
