During these unprecedented times, some technologies are being used to help improve the delivery of products of any kind. Robotics, drones, and vehicle automation are technologies that are trying to provide some type of solution due to less human presence needed which is better to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Companies like Starship are using self-driving delivery robots to deliver pizza. In Phoenix, Arizona Venezia’s New York Style Pizza is delivering to half-mile radius residents fresh hot pizza.
Projects like Prime Air from Amazon are being improved by adding more features like ultraviolet sanitation on their drones. This service promises 30 minutes of delivery of products on fully autonomous self-driving drones.
Self-driving trucks are another alternative to deliver products to clients. The company called Tusimple is providing a network of self-driving trucks that promise to lead the market soon. In its first phase, it is only serving the southern part of the US, but it is planning to serve all of the US by 2023.
As you can see there are plenty of examples showing how technology is changing and supporting our lives even during a pandemic.
