Have you ever wondered about the different foundations and which one you should wear? Hopefully, this article will help.
Differences in foundations:
- Matte – has no shine and dries flat. Tends to reduce the appearance of large pores. Best for individuals with oily skin! Those with combination skin can benefit as well. Lasts long on the skin and helps to conceal large pores.
- Dewy – allows shine to come through. Makes your skin appear as though it’s glowing and luminous. Best for those with dry skin! Individuals with mature skin without deep wrinkles will benefit from this finish as well. This finish will leave dry, dull skin looking more radiant.
- Satin–a cross between matte and dewy and the oldest type of consistency that exists.
Made for all but needs to definitely be set with powder especially on oily skin. This finish works well with mature skin that has deep wrinkles because it doesn’t usually settle into the lines.
If your skin is dry and scaly in the winter, do not wear matte because your skin will look as though it’s peeling. If your skin is oily and you sweat a lot in the summer, do not wear dewy because you will look wet. If your slightly both skin types, mix some dewy and matte together to get your perfect combo or try satin.
