Family is important when it comes to Reading Muhlenberg CTC. Mr. Aydin Pergine, a senior in carpentry, learned the love of carpentry from his grandfather! He wanted to get into a shop to learn more about building and making pieces of wood “come to life.”
Mr. Herb, my carpentry instructor, is very motivated. He guides me in a lot of different ways, like living and working out in the real world. He cares about his students! I am a co-op at High Concrete in Denver, PA. My manager, Taylor Burris, is amazing! I’m not nervous to talk to him and ask questions. He wants to be a mentor! You can ask anyone for anything.
Aydin’s father, Mr. Richard Pergine, also attended RMCTC in the Print Media Production program. He spent 25 years in the field! He valued the opportunities he got at RMCTC. He learned the old-school way of printing from Mr. Borelli. I enjoyed all the experiences I received at Muhlenberg & RMCTC. He is very proud of his home and his accomplishments. It’s about working hard.
Both Aydin and his dad are proud of one another! Richard is proud that Aydin has worked hard and succeeded! Aydin will be staying at High Concrete upon graduation and will have the opportunity to learn and grow with the company! Richard is still working hard. He continues to grow in his position at work, too! Family means success, and this father-and-son team has a lifetime to grow in their trades and become the heart of their family!
