This edition is dedicated to you, Boricua, to your strength, your perseverance, and that fire we carry inside, burning brighter than ever this year.
As a proud Puerto Rican, this issue of Herencia Hispana holds a special place in my heart. It’s not just a celebration of our culture, it’s an act of love, pride, and resistance.
This year, Puerto Rico is more visible than ever. Our voice echoes through art, music, and community. Artists like Bad Bunny, through his powerful residency in Puerto Rico, are reminding us that our identity is something to embrace boldly. His concerts are more than just performances; they’re living tributes to our history, our colors, our struggles, and our joy.
He has turned the stage into a reflection of the Boricua soul: rebellious, passionate, and authentic. He shows us that honoring our roots isn’t about looking back; it’s about building the future with them as our foundation.
Of course, challenges remain. Being Puerto Rican is still a daily act of resilience. But it’s also an act of hope. And through it all, we keep rising, creating, and shining.
That’s why I warmly invite you to “El Boricuazo”, a special event to celebrate our Puerto Rican identity on Sunday, September 28th at the Puerto Rican Civic Club. Join us for a day filled with music, culture, and pride, featuring the unveiling of a brand-new mural outside the building, a vibrant symbol of who we are.
With pride and love,
