PM: What does personal style mean to you today?
Rosalia: Personal style is power. It’s not about trends or perfection, it’s about authenticity. When you dress for yourself, you move differently. That confidence is the most beautiful thing anyone can wear.
PM: Your journey began in the Dominican Republic. How did your early life shape your relationship with fashion?
Rosalia: I was born in Santo Domingo, and even as a child, fashion felt like a language I instinctively understood. Visiting the U.S. when I was young exposed me to different styles and cultures, but no matter where I was, clothing was always a form of expression for me. When I moved permanently at 18, that passion followed me—and evolved into purpose.
PM: You’ve worked across luxury retail, editorial, and production. How did those experiences lead you to Palo Magazine?
Rosalia: Each role taught me something different. Luxury retail taught me precision and personalization, production showed me the power of storytelling behind the scenes, and editorial allows me to bring it all together. Palo Magazine felt like a natural home because it values education, creativity, and community. It’s not just about trends, it’s about people.
PM: As Fashion & Style Editor, what is your editorial vision?
Rosalia: My focus is empowerment through style. I want our readers to feel seen and confident, regardless of budget or background. Fashion should be accessible, intentional, and reflective of who you are. At Palo, I curate content that educates while inspiring—bridging luxury concepts with everyday life.
PM: Community plays a large role in your work. Why is that so important to you?
Rosalia: Community is everything. Reading gave me space to grow creatively and personally. Whether it’s supporting local brands, investing in real estate, or collaborating with creatives, I believe fashion has the power to uplift and connect. When one person shines, it opens the door for others.
PM: You balance a demanding career with family life and advocacy. How do those worlds intersect?
Rosalia: They’re inseparable. I’m a stepmother to a daughter with autism, and that experience has shaped my empathy and leadership. It’s taught me patience, advocacy, and the importance of inclusivity. Those values guide how I show up in fashion, business, and life.
PM: Style aside, you’re deeply committed to wellness. How does movement influence your creativity?
Rosalia: Movement keeps me grounded. As a certified Barre and Spin instructor, fitness is part of my daily routine. Whether I’m playing tennis, bocce, or riding horses, movement clears my mind and fuels my creativity. When your body feels strong, your confidence naturally follows.
PM: You’re currently studying Fashion Merchandising. Why return to school now?
Rosalia: Growth never stops. Going back to school at Immaculata University is about sharpening my skills and expanding my perspective. Fashion is always evolving, and I want to stay informed, strategic, and intentional in how I contribute to the industry.
