October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a time to raise awareness, honor those affected by breast cancer, and reaffirm our collective commitment to equitable access to care and improved survival for all.
This October, the community united for a powerful evening of connection, education, and support in the fight against cancer. Hosted by the Penn State Cancer Institute and the Sociedad Hispana del Cáncer PA, the event showcased the critical work these organizations are doing to address cancer disparities in Hispanic communities. Attendees experienced an informative program, meaningful conversations, and heartfelt moments of solidarity.
The women of Sociedad Hispana del Cáncer PA were proudly highlighted in Palo Magazine’s October Health & Wellness edition, with the organization gracing the cover as a tribute to their dedication and community impact. During the event, each team member was presented with a framed copy of the cover in recognition of their leadership and service.
