Nowadays, beauty standards are changing, moving away from stereotypes and promoting greater diversity by accepting different body types, physical features or skin conditions.
The country is becoming increasingly diverse, with Latinos making up an increasing percentage of the population.
The Hispanic/Latino population is projected to represent more than 28% of the total U.S. population by 2060, up from 18% in 2017. Similarly, the black population is estimated to increase from 13% to 15% over the same time period.
This leads to a greater appreciation of beauty in all its forms, including traits that were previously considered less attractive, for example, thicker lips, darker skin tones, and curvier body shapes are now appreciated as something beautiful.
Inclusive beauty seeks to redefine beauty entirely, celebrating diversity and recognition that each person possesses unique beauty, regardless of characteristics such as age, gender, or ethnicity. However, the biggest difference in this new idea of beauty is the emphasis on inner beauty. While physical appearance has always dominated beauty standards, this new school of thought prioritizes personality and individual qualities.
Classical standards are being left behind and little by little the voices of real women are being heard that are far from perfection and Photoshop.
