Nelson and I met in 2004, in Reading, Pennsylvania. We were just 18 and 21 years old, and even though we were young, what we felt was so real and intense that there was no doubt—we were meant for each other. It was one of those instant connections you can’t really explain… You just feel it.
Six months after we met, on April 15, 2005, we got married in a small courthouse in Reading. It was an intimate and simple ceremony, but filled with love. There were no fancy dresses or big plans—just two souls committed to building a life together, with faith in God and in the future.
Over time, our story became richer with beautiful moments and blessings. We were gifted with four amazing children who changed our lives and gave us a purpose greater than ourselves. They are the heart of everything we are and everything we do.
For years, we dreamed of having a beach wedding in our favorite place, surrounded by the people we love most. And that dream finally came true… twenty years later. On April 15, 2025, we celebrated our big wedding in Cancún, Mexico.
It was a magical day in every way. We were able to bring together 78 people from different parts of the world, something that meant so much to us. Seeing our family and friends travel from all over just to be with us was a powerful reminder of how much love surrounds us and how valuable every connection in our lives truly is.
But without a doubt, what made that day even more special was having our four children by our side, sharing every hug, every tear, every smile. Being able to experience that moment with them was the greatest gift of all.
And yes… this crazy Gamez family definitely does everything backwards. But that is our magic. We’ve learned that life does not have to follow a perfect order. What truly matters is letting things flow, trusting God’s timing, and allowing love to lead the way.
Our beach wedding wasn’t just a party. It was a renewal of a promise, a celebration of everything we have lived together and everything that is still to come. It was saying “yes” again—with more memories, more scars, and even more love.
We look back with gratitude and look ahead with excitement. If there is one thing we know for sure, when there is love, everything else falls into place. – Samantha & Nelson Gamez
