This edition is dedicated to women, we cover essential topics like menopause, health, relationships, women in leadership roles and traveling. One of the most impactful experiences I recently had was taking a much-needed vacation. Sometimes, a vacation offers more than just relaxation, it becomes a journey of self-discovery, healing, and the strength our souls need.
I had not taken a vacation in over seven months, so when I arrived in Puerto Rico, it felt magical. The air, the sun, the waves, and the vibrant culture brought me comfort in a way that no other place could. Puerto Rico holds a special place in my heart, and its warmth was exactly what I needed. However, this time away made me reflect on how women often neglect taking time for themselves, which leads to burnout. Time away is essential for self-reflection and rejuvenation.
This vacation I wasn’t seeking a new destination to explore; I was looking for the comfort of home. While there, I hoped to reconnect with nature and family, but the universe had a different plan. I received heartbreaking news that my oldest brother had passed away. The grief was overwhelming, but his passing unexpectedly became a catalyst for personal growth. It forced me to slow down and reassess what truly mattered. It also allowed me to reconnect with my dad’s side of the family, deepening my connection to my roots. In my sorrow, I found love and support from the paternal side of the family, which became an essential part of my healing.
It felt as though the universe had guided me there not just for rest, but for transformation. Even in loss, I found growth, and for that, I am thankful. Losing someone you love shifts your perspective, making you cherish every moment and the relationships you hold dear.
