Married 59 Years
A shy and eighteen-year-old Mercedes Ramos moved with her family from Puerto Rico to Philadelphia, PA in November 1963 for a new life in mainland USA. What she did not know was that her new life would include falling in love with a kind and handsome 21-year-old man, Crispin Mercado. They sealed their love with wedding vows on July 30, 1966, moved to Reading, PA, and together have created a beautiful family with four children, ten grandchildren, and their first great-grandson. Theirs is a love that has withstood the test of time with commitment, understanding, sacrifices, laughter, communication, and mutual respect. – Aida Castillo

We have been together since I was 21 and he was 22 and the rest is our history through thick and thin he has been my ROCK.
