Students entering the medical field learn to show compassion and kindness with hands-on experience! St. Luke’s Health Network has developed a partnership with RMCTC to help students learn and grow in the medical field.
Carlienyz Cruz Maldonado, Daniela Hernandez-Flores, Annissah Magloire, and Simone Salazar-Hernandez have been interning with St. Luke’s Health Center- Spring Township since June 2024. They are seniors in our nursing programs at RMCTC. All 4 young ladies have stated that building communication skills and confidence within the profession are some of the most important skills they have learned to date!
Annissah says, “You need to learn to rely on your co-workers! Go for it! Ask questions about everything!” Carlienyz says, “You are always going to have that support! The staff has walked in your footsteps, and they can help by showing proper skills, to just talking to patients. Stacy, Julia, and Katelyn are all on staff and they are amazing!” Daniela says, “This is the most amazing experience I have ever had!” Daniela also states that “All the doctors, nurses, staff, and patients come with different amazing stories that make you understand and feel great!” Simone has learned about radiology, X-rays, and how to read them! All four interns state “Our office administrator, Isamar Miranda, is amazing and encouraging!”
All four ladies contribute their success from their instructors at RMCTC, Mrs. Keir and Ms. White! “They have taught us nursing skills and encouraged us to have confidence in our careers.” Annissah is striving to be a physician’s assistant, Carlienyz is focused on medical school to become a Dermatologist, Daniela wants to continue at St. Luke’s upon graduation, and Simone wants to continue to become a Registered Nurse! St. Luke’s has assisted them to follow their dreams with the skills they need to succeed!
