I’m a huge believer in Personal Leadership; how you, I, we choose to show up to our work, our lives, and our relationships as our best selves. It breeds better connections, and those connections add value to your life personally and professionally!
As your team grows, leadership continues to be monumentally important… but it is not all about you! As a leader, you do not have to produce all the ideas or have all the answers; especially when you’ve surrounded yourself with amazing people personally and experts in their craft professionally.
I do not have many rules in my business… in fact, I only have three. One of them is, “Please accompany your/problem with a suggested solution.” This allows you not to be a dumping ground for problems and the opportunity to develop leaders under you capable of out-of-the-box thinking. I share that one of three things will happen when an idea is shared…
- The idea is so good; we must go with it!
- We may fine-tune the idea due to factors they may not be aware of!
- The idea is good, however not aligned with our vision and vision factors… can they modify the idea to fit better? If so, great! If not, it’s not it’s time.
Professionally with my team and personally with my kids, it has been an honor to evolve with so many of the game-changing ideas shared and fine-tuned.
