Finally, Summertime is here and that usually means everyone wants to be living outdoors as much as they can. Summer means so many different things to different people. Some dislike the hotter weather and prefer to stay indoors in the central air. I myself like to do both but I do prefer the spring and autumn weather regardless.
This month our cover story is about Sarah and her daughter SKY who is 4 years old, and how this mother-and-daughter duo loves to cook and bake together. Sarah has a blog called skysthelimitlifestyle.com. She also has a YouTube channel and that is where you will get to know her and Sky some more. As you can see by the title of the blog, the time spent between parents and children can teach children that truly the sky’s the limit. This feature could not have been at a better time as it’s the perfect season of the year to bake with all the fresh fruit that can be found everywhere, from peaches to strawberries and blueberries, etc… Plus, when you purchase fruit it’s not only healthy for you but also you are supporting our local farmers and farmers markets.
In this edition, we also cover how to create your perfect outdoor oasis, the benefits of exercising outdoors, painting or building birdhouses, and of course our monthly calendar of suggestions on “things to do.” If you love summer but prefer to avoid crowded events, you can still enjoy the outdoors, by going for walks in nature or getting some house projects done. We have tips to help you decide if you should hire a professional or do your own DIY project.
But if you are the type that prefers to not do much of anything during summer months, and are just looking to cool off some, we shared a nice tropical mango cocktail recipe and a nice grilled steak recipe. Do whatever makes you happy, just be safe doing it.
