One of the most valuable lessons I learned in my experiences as a social worker in Reading, PA was understanding that age is not an impediment to fulfilling your dreams.
I fondly remember many people from whom I learned and today I confirm that the soul does not age. If one is healthy and considers the important factors in decision-making, then what one proposes can be achieved. Starting a business is a challenge and more so if you are a senior. You have to plan and have the pieces in place to achieve success. There are many resources and guidance programs for starting a business. You may not have the youth, but you have the experience and the money to go on an adventure.
Let’s not let age stop us in the pursuit of our dreams. With acquired wisdom and reliable guidance there should be no obstacle. Every fold in our skin has a reason for being. Each of our wrinkles has a name and situation. We live them and savor each of those good and less good experiences. Many times, we have postponed our goals and dreams to dedicate ourselves to the family. Today at our accumulated age we must have the freedom to decide to be happy. For its better one day of full happiness than many days of sadness thinking of what could have been and was not. As the saying goes “it is never too late if the outcome is good”.
