Just like that, another twelve months of the year are gone. I know it’s the month where everyone including myself starts promising themselves change and growth, but sadly another 12 months go by, and we are back at the same spot. How can you change that?
If you find that you love to make a long list of things for the following year but just don’t make it around to it, maybe you need to do more smaller attainable list throughout the year. For example, if my list seems overwhelming, I will break it down to the first six months and then the following six months, but I will do a vision board that includes the whole year to keep me motivated.
Keep in mind that we all operate differently, if you are the person that doesn’t pick up a book to read in years then don’t put it on the list; read a book monthly, that is too much pressure that may cause you to quit before you start. Perhaps read 2-3 books for the entire year. If you have not gone to the gym in ages don’t put go to the gym every day but rather go to the gym twice a week, once that starts to feel good you could increase it by 1 or 2 more days and you have accomplished it.
If I could give 1 advice this 2023 is to do what works for you and stop looking at what everyone else is doing. You are you and what works for your neighbor, spouse, co-worker or friend may not work at all for you and if anything will make you feel like a failure. This is the only time in life where I recommend people to have tunnel vision and be a little self-fish when it comes to self-love.
I appreciate the support of our readers and advertisers. Both have helped us grow and we hope we have helped you grow as well. We appreciate you, Happy New Year to all!
