The holidays are the favorite dates of many people, including me, of course. But what I like most about these dates is that I can wear festive colors to the events I attend. The question that always comes to mind is, what should I wear? Dress, skirt, heels, comfortable shoes, etc. It doesn’t matter what you wear but how you wear it, what color suits you best, or what color you identify with the most.
I love to wear red for one year and green for the next, and I keep alternating each year. I may wear black, gold or silver for New Year’s Eve. The point is that you need to find the color that inspires you.
Once you find it, match it with white, gold, or silver. You will notice that the contrast will serve as an accent, and your primary color will be more vibrant and bolder. Last year, I wore a red jumper with white shoes and white accessories. The combination was beautiful and classy. This year, I will wear a green dress with golden shoes and accessories; I am already picturing it. It will be a masterpiece.
Did you know that some colors have meanings? For example, pink for sexuality, red for life & love, grey for sadness, orange for healing, yellow for hope, green for nature, blue for peace, indigo for harmony, black for power, violet for spirit, etc. Colors are more powerful than we think, and depending on our interpretations, they can affect our feelings and sometimes even our day-to-day decisions, such as the items we buy. I remember reading many times that I should wear a blue outfit for job interviews because Blues convey feelings of calm, trust, and confidence, which are great qualities for an interviewer to sense in people.
