I am a 2022 graduate of Reading High School and Reading Muhlenberg CTC. My program of study at Reading Muhlenberg was in the area of Health Sports Medicine with Mrs. Romberger who was my instructor.
My journey these past years has been one with many unexpected challenges. I am beyond grateful for the assistance and guidance I was able to obtain from Nichole Miller, who is the Young Adult Career Case Manager from Career Link, and all of my instructors. My first assigned internship ended due to the pandemic. As one can imagine, this stirred many mixed emotions and sadness.
Fortunately, with the help of RMCTC and Career Link, I was introduced to a new workspace at The Spine and Wellness Center. At first, I was feeling uncertain about this opportunity, due to having to work two jobs and balancing school. I was reassured by Mrs. Romberger of my strengths. She assured me of her continuous support throughout my journey. As part of my support team, Nichole Miller, Mrs. Hughes-the RMCTC WBL Coordinator, and I worked together to assure that I would succeed during my senior year. I would also like to thank my mentors, Dr. Borja and Ashely Sweitzer, for welcoming me to the office. The Spine and Wellness Center introduced me to a variety of educational techniques pertaining to treatment care, along with simple X-Ray studies.
After my internship, I was offered a position as part of their team. If you work hard, your career goals can be yours. Thank you to everyone for making my career become a reality!
