The fall season & fall festivals can provoke many nostalgic associations with certain foods and beverages. For me, this list is topped by some very obvious classics, like a warm Deep Dish Apple Crumb Pie or pumpkin-flavored…anything, but hearty meals like beef stew, spicy chili, or a Chuck Roast in the slow cooker (with a side of whipped potatoes and green beans) also have a special place on my fall menu. And what better way to serve one of these hearty dishes than aside a warm, thick slice of my Homemade Beer Bread. The best part about this bread, in addition to its delicious flavor, is that you can whip it up in a couple of minutes and then let your oven do all the work!
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour (can also use bread flour)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
- 1 (12 ounces) bottle of beer
- 3 Tablespoons butter, melted
