Young travelers are ready to travel and explore. For many young people, COVID-19 put a stop on many travel-plans. Restrictions, guidelines, and new rules made it difficult to travel at all. Cancelled or postponed and cancelled again. While airlines were dropping prices, COVID discouraged many from hitting the road.
With hopes of returning to normal, young people are once again planning their dream vacations. So where are they going? Berks Teens checked in with travel blogs and asked young people we work with where they’d like to travel.
Santorini, Greece
Beautiful, whitewashed villages, cobblestone paths, and ocean-blue painted roof tops against the aqua waters in Santorini. You can almost smell the salty air and feel the peaceful, serene vibe through the photos. Greece is high up on the bucket lists for many young people with breathtaking views, unique architecture of churches, the Santorini Volcano, luxury hotels, and authentic Greek cuisine.
Tulum, Mexico
About an hour south of Cancun is the ‘grown and sexy’ vibes of Tulum. Thousands of young travelers have made it a point to visit this beautiful tropical paradise. Home of the famous ‘Ven La Luz’ sculpture at an Ahau Tulum beach, a head and foliage-filled torso of a person made of rope, metal and wood represents the “deep connection with nature and ourselves. Insta-worthy!
Bali, Indonesia
Bali is greatly known to travelers who are experiencing wanderlust or are on a spiritual journey. Hindu Temples, ancient architecture, and lush forests. And mountain spring waters considered holy and purifying, such as the waters in Tirta Empul. Bali is also known for the array of festivals they celebrate annually.
Have fun and be safe! There are lots of free tracking, travel and safety apps to help guide you, so wherever you go, be safe, be aware of your surroundings, take lots of pictures and remember to have fun. Bon Voyage!
