I was born in Colombia (South America). I came here at the young age of twenty. This year I’m going into my fourth year in the Real estate industry, but my story doesn’t start there. Prior to real estate I worked in the banking industry for ten years and being part of the management team, it was not an easy decision to start a new chapter in my life.
It really was a leap of faith to leave stable employment where you receive a paycheck weekly or bi-weekly to solely make money based on commissions, but I took the chance and I resigned as a banker to become a full-time real estate agent.
Behind this decision was my son Miguel. Let me explain, in 2016, my daughter left for college and my son was becoming a teenager as time passed with all the changes he was going through, it made me realize he was not little anymore and soon we would be empty nesters. It was when I realized that it was time for a change, I knew I had to do something I would be passionate about, and I was not looking for easy. I wanted to find the path I could still use the skills I retained helping and educating people with their finances and have the flexibility to be more present in my son’s life.
It’s been an honor for me to have been able to help more than ninety families between first-time home buyers, sellers, business owners, and investors. I have met amazing people and have worked with great agents and mentors from whom I have learned a lot.
Grateful to all who have been part of this journey, first of all, my family, friends, lenders, title and insurance companies, brokers, clients, and agents.
