Setting the Goal to Love Yourself First
Have you ever asked yourself “how do I love myself first and why should a make it my number one goal? It may sound as a selfish act where the only thing that matters is you but loving yourself is a deeper concept of the word Love.
When you don’t love yourself, you are more likely to tolerate mistreatments from others. You can invite narcissistic personalities in your life. You may neglect your own needs and feelings because you don’t value yourself. You may self-sabotage leading you in make decisions that go against your best interest.
When you love yourself, you have an overall positive view of yourself. However, loving yourself requires pure awareness of your behavior when it comes to giving and receiving love. You need to have high regard for your happiness and well-being. Your selflove must support your needs when it comes to your mind, body, soul, and emotions. It means you don’t sacrifice yourself to please others.
Self-love makes our self-esteem positive inviting assertiveness, strong boundaries and selfcare. When we love ourselves, we build healthy relationships, we are more motivated to set-up goals, and we show up in the world very proud of who we are.
Make a commitment to unconditionally love yourself every day. Start believing you are worthy of love.
