In the winter, the air is cold and dry. This means that our curls are not able to pull moisture from the air and therefore tend to be dry and in some cases frizzy.
If you experience dryness and frizziness I recommend that you use moisturizing products and a soft gel. At the salon, I recommend that my clients use the Curl Quencher Line from Ouidad. This line provides the right amount of hydration. To style combining the cream and the gel from this line, provides the perfect amount of definition and hold. This will give you a gorgeous wash and go.
As per usual, deep conditioning is always a good idea. Deep conditioning will help keep your curls hydrated and smooth. My favorite product and one that I often recommend to my clients with dry curls is Olaplex No.8. This is their Bond Intense Moisture Mask. This mask can be used once a week for about 10 minutes. The difference this mask makes in the hair is amazing, you will see and feel the improvement immediately.
