Traveling is one of the most satisfying things in life for many of us because you can visit different destinations and interact with various cultures. But the trip can turn into a nightmare if you get sick or have an accident.
That is why it is very important to be healthy before, during, and after the trip.
Let’s start with the food. To try everything, you want is very satisfying, but if you have allergies, always ask if it contains what you know can wreak havoc on you.
In certain cities, there will be condiments that can affect you since your stomach has never tasted it, so it is recommended that you always travel with “Prilosec” or “Tums” or anything that helps if your stomach starts to act up.
Generally, I always travel with those mentioned above and with Tylenol and Dramamine. Better safe than sorry.
Staying healthy is not that difficult. If you are an active person, take a walk, go for a swim or visit the gym. Do what you enjoy the most. On the other hand, if you just want to lie on the beach and do nothing, rest is super healthy.
If you have a medical condition, make sure that your insurance covers you outside the country or before traveling; buy a traveler’s insurance that includes medical expenses due to accident or illness. Remember the movie “The Impossible?” You should watch it. In the film, the mother was injured in a Tsunami while reading a book in Thailand Resort, and thanks to their travel insurance, they were able to board an ambulance airplane to Singapore where she received proper care, and they saved her leg.
In conclusion: Travel the world, have the best time you can and stay healthy!
