My name is Nathaniel Rosario, I am 18 years old senior at Reading High School and a third-year Auto Technology student at Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center. When I was younger, I was always around my uncles who worked as auto technicians. I found this field interesting and exciting.
I have a great teacher, Mr. Yankowski, who has given me opportunities to learn with theory and hands-on learning about every part of a car – from service, to tires, to electrical, we learned it all at RMCTC. There’s math, physics, and lots of science involved in auto technology. At first, I wasn’t so sure what I wanted to do in life, but RMCTC has helped me to see my future. I then kept on pushing myself to learn as much as possible and reach my dreams. Mr. Yankowski and Mrs. Hughes believed I had what it takes to work in a real shop. I was able to get a paid summer internship and put everything I knew to the test at Savage Auto Group thanks to RMCTC and my new boss Joe Tareila. I worked as part of a team in their Express Lane, gained new friends, and became more experienced working on cars. I am now working there as a senior.
By attending RMCTC, I have helped to secure a career in a field I love. Savage Auto Group has even given me an opportunity (fully paid) to go to college to further my career.
