What Happens When You Unite a Colombian & Ecuadorian Family?
Well, the GAMEZ team was born, that’s what happened! I know them personally and I admire both not only because of how they have handled their businesses, but also how they are with their family. As you know that being professionals today and raising 4 children at the same time is not easy, but they manage to do it while having lots of fun. I call them, the Tik Tok family as they share funny moments via this social application.
How did they start? Just two young people in love, yet eager to eat the world up together but with many dreams that many times when you are so young believe are unattainable. The Gamez family can proudly say that they have worked doing everything from cleaning bathrooms to owning their own businesses. For them work is work and their love for their family and the desire to improve themselves and to be able to provide the best was always one of their greatest motivations. They believe in not setting limits, always seek more, and do not settle. They aren’t referring to just material items but in their work environment, in always learning more and something new every day because for them that is the secret to success. Like many parents, the greatest motivation was, is and will always be their children. For them it is very important to create memories with them because the children are borrowed. They as parents will always be there for the rest of their lives supporting them, but little ones only last being little a very short time and those moments with them are what they will take and remember for the rest of their lives. Their hard work and sacrifices have allowed them the freedom to run their businesses in such a way that they have time for their children, which in the end is their greatest engine.
They are Nelson and Samantha Gamez, 2 immigrants who left their lands of Colombia and Ecuador more than 20 years ago in search of dreams. They left their loved ones behind to go into an uncertain future. It wasn’t easy, but they did it. They state, “This crazy but very funny family is going for more, for more goals fulfilled, for more learning and for more memories.” And they believe “If we could, anyone can, it’s just a matter of how much you want it!”
Today they work as real estate agents, which fills them with great satisfaction because it lets them be part of that dream of buying a home. They have had great achievements in their careers such as being the number one salesperson for three years in a row at the agency they worked for and one of the highest selling agents by unit in all of BERKS County. Due to this great success, they count with a team of realtors to whom they provide advice and mentoring. They also have an investment company in which they manage their portfolio of properties in the city of Reading. And finally, they have a construction company in which they handle house flipping. We are immigrants who are proud of where we started, where we are today and where we are going tomorrow. YES, YOU CAN!
