Abraham Jose Cepeda commonly known as “Abe” is a second-generation American born in Newark, NJ. He was born to two immigrant parents from Dominican Republic. Abraham spent his formative years in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Abraham comes from humble beginnings but has always used education and hard work as a means to progress. He studied political science and history at East Stroudsburg University and later studied Law at Widener University School of Law where he was a recipient of the Dixon Scholarship for highly qualified students. While in law school Abraham was a member of the prestigious Trial Advocacy Society and was a recipient of the MLK Internship.
After graduating and passing the Bar Exam, Abraham went on to work for the Community Justice Project (CJP) an organization that provides low-cost civil legal services to low-income Pennsylvanians. Abraham worked and managed CJP’s Reading office until 2014. He then became partner at the law firm of CWM Legal and is now the owner and Managing attorney of Cultura Law LLC.
Since moving to Reading, Abraham has been active in the community. He was a founding member of the Greater Reading Immigration Project (G.R.I.P.) a coalition dedicated to helping the greater Reading area deal with immigration issues. Abraham was the President of the Reading School Board during its transition years. He later became the Vice President of the Daniel Torres Centro Hispano and is currently a board member for the Olivet’s Boys and Girls Club here in Berks County. He also has coordinated citizenship drives and yearly back-to-school events with Star City Boxing giving children free school supplies and he routinely speaks to churches and community organizations on business formation, Immigration, and Real Estate Law. He also has made himself available to various radio and TV programs speaking on community issues and legal issues.
In addition to his community involvement and his work for the community Abraham also has a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit. He is the owner of two title companies one serving Berks and Lancaster County “Abes Abstract” and one serving Lehigh County “Zade Abstract”. He has also expanded his law firm to include locations in Reading, PA, Lancaster, PA, and Tampa, FL. Abraham is also the owner of the online company “The Investment Toolkit”. Abraham has a passion for business, car’s and helping the community.
