My name is Astrid Ferguson, and I am currently a senior associate at Price Waterhouse Coopers, a network of firms in 157 countries that provides a wide range of services to 85% of the Global Fortune 500 companies. In a nutshell, my focus and responsibilities center around assisting clients in identifying new ways to improve their current processes and accelerate the efficiency of their company’s future. In order to provide quality results, I work collaboratively with peers who are experts in the industry, complete benchmarking analysis, develop concrete step-by-step roadmaps to mitigate risks, and identify growth opportunities.
The skills I needed to develop my career didn’t start in college. My keen skills for analysis and love for systems began harvesting in the computer classroom of Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center. I was unaware of my true potential until I arrived at the steps of RMCTC and was asked to do my first system diagnostic. It was there, for the first time in my life I saw a bright future with me in it and it was all thanks to my teacher.
There is a little saying that “The good teacher explains; the great teacher inspires.” Correlate that with a place that cultivates a playground to unleash boundless creativity and success becomes a beacon of light for every student who wishes for more than they can imagine. Success is not a place, it’s a journey and RMCTC is the vehicle to get started on that journey.
