If I were to give my younger self some business advice, I would use the same ones that you can use with any business, family, relationships, etc. First, you have to give, to get, to gain. It is a life principle. You give your time, talents, love, respect amongst other things. In return you get resources, connections, communication, and more things that you will need in your life.
Invest in your education by going to college, getting a certificate, or taking an online class. An important thing to consider is that success does not come on the first try. It will take multiple times until you get the results you wanted. So be patient at all times. Keep in mind that failure is part of the learning process. Be alert for those opportunities that can diversify your talents which will open doors later on. We have to learn about having back-up plans, how to develop them and follow through. We need to remain focused and avoid distractions. I will recommend learning about self-discipline which will help with accomplishing your goals in life.
Remember that there is a time for everything, time to work hard and to rest, time to plant and a time to harvest, a time to be silent and a time to speak, which is a practical guide as well. While conducting any type of business, remember to be humble and make helping others a priority. Humility comes when we listen to others, when we are grateful, and we show empathy to the people around us.
Be smart enough to know that you don’t know it all! Brave enough to ask for help!
