Whether you travel within the United States or to another country, there is so much beauty everywhere.
Let’s start with the museums. If you live up north, a must-see museum is The Met in NY. www.metmuseum.org/
Another one is the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. www.si.edu/
If you live down south, you should visit Salvador Dali Museum in St. Peterburg. Florida. thedali.org/
In my opinion, some of the best museums in the world are:
- The Louvre in Paris www.louvre.fr/en
- The British in London www.britishmuseum.org/
- Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid www.museodelprado.es/en
- The Uffizi Gallery in Florence www.uffizi.it/en/the-uffizi
- The Egyptian in Cairo egymonuments.gov.eg/en/museums/egyptian-museum
But do not forget that most of the best art is displayed in the Palaces around the globe.
- Palace of Versailles in France is absolutely magnificent www.chateauversailles.fr/
- Buckingham Palace in England with its Royal Collection and Garden is fabulous www.rct.uk/visit/buckingham-palace
- Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna is captivating. I love its landscape. www.schoenbrunn.at/en/
- Winter Palace in Russia is extremely elegant, and the artwork, buildings, and history is intriguing. www.hermitagemuseum.org/wps/portal/hermitage/?lng=en
- The Royal Palace of Caserta in Italy is the largest palace erected in Europe during the 18th century.

Plan your visit. In many of the museums, you won’t be able to see it all in one day. For example, it may take up to 3 days to explore the Louvre in its entirety. I have been there twice, and I have not even seen half of it. For the palaces, it will definitely take you a full day.
If you love art and history as much as I do, try to include a visit to any cultural attraction you may like. You will be astonished and surprised by everything that went on in other centuries.
Take your camera, fully charged, and be prepared to be mesmerized.
