Monaco – A Vibrant Country Full of Culture and History
Monaco is the second smallest country in the world (Vatican City is the first one).
I have been to many places and believe me when I tell you I have never encountered as much beauty and glamour as I experienced in Monaco. The best way to describe it in my own words: a sophisticated city where inhabitants are very attractive, very fashionable, and authentically content with their lives. One-third of the population of Monaco is made up of millionaires. There is zero poverty, zero income tax, no crime (One of the safest countries in the world), stunning ocean views and cute little beach towns. If you are ever in Paris, take the train to Monaco, only 6 hours away with one-way tickets around $65 if purchased in advance.
Also, if you like cars, Monaco is the place to be. I heard from the locals that the Monaco Grand Prix is an amazing event to witness. Raincheck!
We stayed at Le Meridien Beach Plaza by the sea. The weather was 70 degrees (May). At night, we ate at the iconic Café de Paris and then we went to the Casino de Monte-Carlo on the Golden Square. To finalize the night with a high five, we danced at La Rascasse!
Next day, we chartered a “Superhawk 34” yacht to cruise all around Monaco in 3 hours. The views of the different beach towns around the French Riviera were surreal.
We later visited the Prince’s Palace where you can admire views of Monaco’s bay and yachts, and walk through the tiny streets of the old town.
At night we partied at the famous Sass Café Monaco.
For our last day, we rented a helicopter to fly us to Saint Tropez. The most enjoyable part: it landed in a vineyard that produces “Rose” wine.
Monaco is full of history and its culture has strong influences from its neighbors, France, Italy and Spain. Monaco is an amazing place, no kidding. Visit it soon!
