As the city grows towards its bright future, we are excited to introduce the Reading Science Center, located in Downtown Reading. “Education is the foundation upon which we will build our future.” – Christin Gregoire.
The Science Center’s mission is to foster the love of science through experiential STEM learning for the youth of the greater Reading community. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math are strong components for the foundation of our future. During their visit, children have the freedom to investigate and observe many different principles of STEM through interactive and inquisitive play, breaking from the traditional model of education. The Reading Science Center proves that learning can be active, fun, and a family affair. Come explore the hands-on science-based stations, interact with the exhibits, participate in weekly STEM programing, and inspire a love for lifelong learning.
Currently, open 11 am-5 pm on Saturdays at 645 Penn Street in downtown Reading. The cost of admission is $8 per person, children 2 and under are free.
