Hey sustainable fashion lovers, my teenage years are long gone, so I asked two of the most iconic looking “zoomers” I know, their opinion about consuming thrift fashion. Let’s talk to
Josh Klusewitz & Caitlyn Changco to see what they have to say.
From your closet, what percentage is second-hand clothes?
JK: “Probably between 80-90%”
CC: “Approximately 30%”
And, what are your reasons to consume sustainable fashion?
JK: “It is a more accessible and environmentally friendly way to experiment with your own style. It allows you to come across pieces that you would not have otherwise considered and gives you a challenge to be able to style them and use your own creative voice in your clothes.”
CC: “I don’t like spending a lot of money on clothes, fashion is cyclical, trends come and go. I rather look for that unique piece that will make you stand out and feel amazing”.
As you can see the new generations are stepping their sustainable fashion game up, setting the example for the rest of us on how to turn looks in a more environmentally friendly way.
