Now more than ever, we can explore our surroundings. COVID-19 doesn’t have to interrupt our lives any more than already has. Let’s take advantage of these festivities and stay close to home.
If you live in a cold climate, visit a lake, a river, the mountains, etc. If you live in warm weather, go to the beach, the parks, the gardens, etc.
If you wish to go away from home a little bit, rent a cabin, go camping in a national park, make a day trip wherever you like, connect with nature and enjoy the company of your friends and family.
Try different food, dress up fancy, or wear pajamas. Instead of gifts, plan an experience, sing your lungs out, laugh so hard until you cry, take tons of silly pictures, redecorate your house, make your bathroom a spa, dance all day long, enjoy and share every single moment with the people at your side. Life is unpredictable, and lost time is inevitable. Remember, you only live once, and there is nothing better than creating memories.
This year has been challenging for most. We have lost loved ones, we have been locked up longer than imagined, and many of our plans have been canceled. However, it was also a year of family union, and if we are still breathing, we must grateful, celebrate, and hope that 2021 will be spectacular.
So, what better dates to stay home on the holidays?
