A few days ago I listened to one of my favorite preachers and within his eloquent preaching, he mentions the phrase that I used to head this article. I began to meditate and what he said made a lot of sense, while I listened to him my imagination began to fly and this article came from there.
In difficult times for humanity such as this pandemic where people face economic situations, job losses, and loss of stability, it is there where it emerges what we are truly made of, by letting lose the inner person that we all carry inside of us is when we determine whether we will be headed to success or failure.
It is in these times of crisis, if one may call it that where it can be said that there are two types of people: those who cry…and who are the ones who, no matter what is happening, will always focus on the negative, I do not have, I can’t, what will I do, nobody helps me and I want more, more and more and at the end, they end up with nothing.
While on the other side are those who sell handkerchiefs, those people who only focus on bringing out the positive by finding an opportunity after each situation. Those people who do not care if one door closes they will wait in the hall for another one to open and if it does not open they will look for a window. These are the people who in difficult times take their creativity for a walk and end up becoming entrepreneurs and successful people. What they see and touch they make it produce!
So it’s time to ask yourself in the midst of this pandemic: What kind of person are you? Are you satisfied? Every day is a gift of life and a new opportunity to be the best version of you. I believe it and it will be! I don’t know about you but I want to be surrounded by those who sell handkerchiefs!
