If you are caring for one or more school-age children or adolescents, I think that you will ask yourself the same question as me… But how can I keep them away from a screen and entertained this summer?
Well, I tell you that this question began to haunt my me even before the start of summer and I did not have a clear answer, but I found a very interesting guide that has helped me not to think about it so much because it already has excellent activities that help me maintain my daughter away from electronic devices each day and I have decided to share it with you:
- Construction: Using playing cards, disposable cups, or Legos ask them to create a tower, a castle, or whatever else they have in mind.
- Design: Ask them to create a new board game with all its rules; it will take a long time and the idea of playing it as a family makes it even more interesting.
- Creation: Obstacle courses are great fun even for adults, using toys and other things you have at home you can create an obstacle course and make sure you take the time they take to complete it.
- Drawing: Pirate maps have their charm; ask them to hide a treasure, and to create a map with instructions to find it.
These are just some ideas that will help entertain them and best of all, they are fun, and you can participate and have a good time while building good memories in these difficult times to understand.
Until next time…
