There is no doubt there is an immense uncertainty in how we will travel now that COVID-19 exists, but the reality is that our lives must go on, and planning in advance is very beneficial, especially for your next vacation.
The most important thing is to have a budget, but since it is not known if there will still be restrictions in certain cities, it is better to plan to travel by car. If you have a family of 4 or 5 people, the savings are remarkable in these cases. Remember that a plane ticket may cost $200 to $300 per person within the USA and from there you must rent a car to transport within, so by driving, you save a lot of money.
Then you must choose the accommodation and if your family is large, an Airbnb is a good option. Sometimes you can get a house for 8 people for $500 to $600 a week. Not bad, right? And best of all, you can cook there.
What about the activities? It will depend on what will be available since many activities have been suspended and it is not known when certain places will open. However, there are many activities that you can do at little or no cost, such as a walk on the boardwalk or going to play on the beach or in the park. If your budget allows, you can rent an Airbnb that has a pool, and that’s a big plus.
Another idea is to go on a vacation that includes everything, that is, airfare, food, lodging, and activities. A good website for these vacations is: www.applevacations.com
There you will find prices of $450 per person all-inclusive for 4 days in the Dominican Republic or Mexico. Have a nice trip!
