Therefore, self-esteem represents a reflection of the level of confidence that you have inside you that marks your feelings of overcoming or not any obstacles your life experiences. Self-esteem is the level of acceptance and the importance that we give to ourselves at all times in our lives. Do you ask yourself how you treat yourself in times of criticism, of mistakes, of making a decision that affects your life, or when you succeed, someone flatters you or when you feel able to achieve your goals. Well, self-esteem is what indicates how much we value ourselves or how much self-love we have.
Low self-esteem makes you fear risks and wait for failure, and it leads you to wait for rejection from others, make mistakes, believe that you are not capable, and lead you to fail in what you could succeed in. On the contrary, high self-esteem is one that, instead of criticizing yourself, or not valuing yourself, will help you understand that nothing happens when you make mistakes or when you do something wrong. Healthy self-esteem shows you are worthy of love and respect, that you have good things to offer others, even if you are not perfect. Accepting ourselves for who we are and forgiving ourselves is the first step in healthy self-esteem.
