Exfoliate your life? Yes, I didn’t say your skin, even though that is important but I’m talking about the process of removing unnecessary or toxic things from your life. If you want to improve your life you must make room for the new you just the same way cells make room for new skin every 30 days. However just as all dead cells don’t shed completely or easily you also must make an extra effort to remove unnecessary things from your life. If you get into bad habits and continue to repeat them you will never shed for the new you and this will result in a clogged life. Once you start exfoliating your life a new you will emerge.
Unsure where to start? Start by evaluating yourself first. Just about a year ago an awful experience made me wake up and decide to exfoliate my life of things and people that were affecting my Chi. Come to think of it I have been exfoliating my life for the last decade I remarried, sold an old house, bought another house. I went from working a 9-5 job of over 21 years to now being the owner of two businesses and soon to be pursuing yet another new business.
But during these last twelve months of exfoliation of my life, I learned to love myself. I think that is my biggest accomplishment yet. I’m talking about the real deal, the no matter what I started loving myself to the point where I walked away from anyone, or anything I felt was cheating me as a human being and I accomplished it. When you start working on yourself from the inside out it will hurt in the beginning. You may not like what you see or feel but this is normal. But be prepared as sadly you will lose some people along the way and guess what it’s all part of the exfoliation. Just like a snake that sheds its skin to make room for their new skin, it’s time for you to start exfoliating your life.
What changes are you going to make for this new decade and how will you exfoliate your life?
