When we talk about being successful in my lectures it is impossible not to talk about habits. Each person’s habits are indicators of what they are capable of doing and how consistent they can be.
Something that many people ask me is how I get up every day (including Saturday and Sunday) at 4:30 in the morning to read. My answer is always the same HABITS.
I brought you 3 recommendations to help you start a new habit:
- Start with the end in mind. Visualize what you want, be it a booklet less, a trip to a different country, or the payment of all your debts. Starting with the end in the mind gives you motivation and impulse to start.
- Start the process with the minimum. If you want to start exercising to lose those extra pounds. Your goal could be 15 minutes of physical activity daily and be constant in those 15 minutes, no matter what type of activity it is important to take the time to do it. The idea is that you have to do something super easy and that you are ashamed not to make it as simple as it is.
- Surround yourself with people who support you. Most people do not realize that they have not been able to develop their potential due to the people around them. Find at least one person who is willing to stay focused on the goal you have visualized.
I like to be practical and these 3 recommendations are enough to help you start new habits.
