There are days in my daily living where I have felt drained, exhausted, sad, without desiring of anything and literally wishing to throw in the towel, leave everything behind and give up. When praying I asked the Lord, where have I failed? What have I missed? Is it possible that every day I have to face a new battle? Will the sun rise again?
During my prayer God in his infinite mercy, ministers my life and through that prayer conform me and hug me. Immediately it came to my mind that many times we are guilty of feeling that way … Do you know why?
Because many times we have believed that we are so strong that we want to resolve the lives of our children when they make mistakes, we want to give them all that we did not have. With our spouses sometimes we take on their responsibilities, many times we do the things that are their responsibilities because we want to show them that we are so strong, and we can do everything. At our jobs we go the additional mile and do additional work to help others or please our bosses. We never say NO to anyone and even want to solve the problems of our family members that live long distance. Many times, we stop being us to help others and then it is there where the problem begins.
We overload ourselves to the extreme that others see in us a strong and unbreakable woman. Others cannot see that we are overworked and drained. Why can’t they see it? They can’t because in their expectations we are strong. That has been our greatest mistake and if we don’t do something to stop it, we will finish frustrated.
It’s time to learn to say NO, it’s time to learn to love yourself, it’s time to let others do their jobs, it’s time to let everyone learn, it’s time to learn to live for yourselves and only in that way you will be truly strong.
The word of God says: “Come to me all who are worked and loaded, and I will make them rest” there is nothing wrong in saying NO; there is nothing bad taking time for yourself. Learn to value YOU, recognize your limits but especially live without overloads!
