Euanton Dotson, now an actor and model was born in Lancaster but raised in Reading along with his nine siblings, I’m sure there was never a dull moment in that household, I can attest to this as I lived behind Euanton’s house and went to school with his brothers and sisters and he went to school with my younger brothers and sisters.
Being a natural-born athlete, he came to realize how important Fitness was and still is to him. Fitness has taken him farther than he ever dreamed from personal training to bodybuilding to currently a NABBA Pro Bodybuilder. And now with his acting and modeling career taking off, his physique is creating so many more opportunities for him.
At the age of 23, he started taking Runway Modeling Classes and Acting Classes. However, he realized that his passion started in his early teenage years. Unlike most kids, he never pretended to be a Superhero. He wanted to be the actor that played the Superhero. He would memorize lines and corrected other kids when they messed them up just like a director. At the age of 20, when his daughter was born, he suddenly had a new passion and focus which was being a father. From there on his life took so many different turns and directions. Acting pretty much became nonexistent.
However, the passion never died and the fire continued to burn. And then almost twenty years and four kids later the opportunity presented itself again. And he told himself; “I walked away from this once, but I will NEVER do that twice in a lifetime!” So he started searching for modeling and acting Agencies. He then started getting Runway Modeling Jobs in New York. While working a fulltime job, he would drive 3 hours to New York for classes and shows. Shortly after that, he booked an Outten Kia Car Commercial. Then he finally got his chance for a film in M. Night Shyamalan’s “Glass” where he was barely featured but it meant the world to him and he needed more. While Pennsylvania and New York were great for the modeling industry they were not for acting the opportunities…
In August of 2018 is when he decided to make the life-changing decision to move to California. It was one of the scariest transitions he ever experienced. With only eight months of living there, he has managed to find a good agency to work with. And so far he has been in 21 different TV shows including the second season of S.W.A.T. and Station 19. And he is part of a great Production Company doing short films that are creating life-changing opportunities. Now at the age of 43, he looks back on his life and remembers the crazy up and down rollercoaster rides and realizes that you can never be too old to pursue your dreams. He also wanted to mention that Morgan Freeman got his big break in “Lean on me” while he was in his 40’s! And look at the icon that he has become. His message to everyone is DON’T GIVE UP! Keep training; keep striving to improve because HARD WORK DOES PAY OFF!
