Many of us are married with children, work full-time jobs and even have time to take care of our elders. Many times, it feels like we are wonder women, and we are definitely very powerful and strong beings. However, in the midst of taking care of everything and everyone we tend to forget ourselves. Dayanara Torres (ex-miss universe) recently revealed that she had been diagnosed with skin cancer; she explained that she had something in her skin for a while and that she failed to pay attention to it.
We get so busy taking care of everyone else that we forget the most important person. We not only forget to take care of our physical health but also our mental and emotional health. Our busy lives sometimes prevent us from doing those things that used to enjoy or simply lose our identity while trying to fulfill our other roles.
It is important for us to take time to rebuild our relationship with ourselves and discover new passions. Take time to take care of yourself, to have fun, to do something new or just to relax. You may feel like a wonder woman, but you are not and before continue taking care of everyone else you must take care of yourself.
