Marriage is the biggest and most important project of our lives. However, we enter the many times without first assessing how prepared we are to have a lasting marriage. Premarital therapy can help us evaluate our beliefs, and values, thus determining the compatibility of the couple. On the other hand, it can help establish positive and healthy patterns of communication.
The reality is that most couples do not attend therapy until they are at a crisis point. Certainly, our mental and emotional health tends to take a back seat for us; who often visit the doctor regularly but do not think of visiting professionals to help us manage our emotional health.
Couples therapy can be a great help both for new marriages and for those who have “a lifetime” together. We can always find new ways to connect emotionally and to heal inevitable wounds in relationships. Couple therapy can be the perfect opportunity to rediscover yourself individually and grow.
