Protective Style
How to create a protective style to wear for a special occasion or for work. Today I bring you a super chic ponytail that’s perfect to switch things up while keeping your curls protected. This video is available on my YouTube channel with all the details on how to create this look along with all the products I used.
This look was created using braiding hair and hair extensions (tracks). Prior to doing this hairstyle, the hair was washed and stretched with buns to minimize the amount of heat used.
These are the steps I followed:
- Put hair in a ponytail and wrap hair with a satin scarf to lay down edges. I used hair gel and mousse for the ponytail.
- Separate hair and add braiding hair.
- Braid the ponytail using braiding hair and secure with a rubber band.
- Flat iron the tracks.
- Add glue to the tracks.
- Wrap tracks around the braid.
- Use your blow dryer to dry the glue.
- Finish the look with your favorite hairspray.
Yojanssi’s curls were tucked away and protected while she wore a new look. The final look was effortless beautiful!
