“Create, create, create!” is what I find myself yelling from the stands at my kid’s games. Even on the games I promise myself I will be the quiet Dad in the stands… this mantra spills out of me and I cannot seem to help myself. My kids have never complained to me about it and it seems to be effective… as when they hear it… they react and create opportunities for themselves, their teammates, and ultimately the team. I believe in the power of a mantra (something you say to yourself or others that inspire, motivates, and signifies the start of greatness).
The word “Create” is beautiful and one of my favorite words as it means to build something that didn’t exist before… and in YOUR life… you have the ability to create anything and everything… including the life of your dreams! As I mentioned with my kids… sometimes we may need a cheerleader, or what I like to call a “Dreamleader” to remind us to Create, that we can Create, and that we will Achieve! But the most important person that will ever drives us… is US! As you know, life will not always be filled with sunshine and awesome moments… the rain will come, the storms of life will hit us all. In the good and bad moments… “Create, Create, Create!” Celebrate the great times and find your best way to maximize it and how long it lasts; also learning what you did and other contributing factors that allowed success to happen. Pick your head up and learn from the hard times… you were not defeated… instead you learned a valuable lesson that is preparing you for next time or your next idea… always CREATING!!! The last time you felt victorious… what did you DO to make it happen (your actions, your mindset, your consistency)? Who assisted? The last time you failed or struggled… What lesson did you learn about yourself, life, and others; that will help you in a positive way moving forward?
Lastly, we only get one go-round at this thing called life… so let’s make it good and it’s never too late to start… wherever you are! If you will close your eyes for a moment and visualize your dream-life as a Person, a Partner, a Parent, and as a Professional… what do you see in each role? Why not you! The question is… what are you WILLING to do about it?
