The year is almost over and I have been thinking for months about what is real and what is not. I had to decide that I needed to let go of things that were not true to me or didn’t serve me both personally or on a business level.
Believe it or not all the talk this year about FAKE NEWS made me realize all the fake things that occur around us. Every time you go on social media, gossip magazines, turn on the TV or the radio you will only hear or see what the media or people would like you to hear or see. Sadly many times it’s a twisted version of their own beliefs, something to feed their own egos or a version that will generate them money; a big indicator that people are taking advantage of their power and position to fool other people and too many people are followers and start to lose their own way or path. The ones that decide that they will not follow people like this are labeled as troublemakers, but in actuality when you follow your heart and do what you know is right that makes you a true leader.
We are all put on this earth with a purpose, when you search your soul and you feel you are not serving yourself, your family and your community accordingly then it’s time to make changes. I began with my physical self. I started exercising and eating right. I may gladly say that for once I will be starting the New Year, not on a diet but continuing my lifestyle change. I put my health number one on my list as I owe it to myself to be healthy. I made business changes as I also owe it to myself and my children to be mentally sane. I now have designated a bedtime. I also use to wake up without eating breakfast and dash to my home office. Now I have my cup of energy coffee and a healthy meal before starting the day and I have a timer for snacks. I also started making sure to carve out at least an hour of me time three to five times a week and that also generated a 35lb weight loss. Read my next edition to learn more on how I achieved peace and health.
