I am more than certain that many of us love to be surprised with any detail. Be a present on our birthday, Christmas, anniversary or any other special day. However, satisfaction may be greater for the person who makes that moment possible.
Giving is not only about giving a gift but also about helping someone in need. I have witnessed many individuals, whom I hold dear, who day after day strives to help others without expecting anything in return. These people, whom I consider to be agents of change, no matter what obstacles may be encountered along the way; their priority is to give more than expected without expecting any kind of recognition. It is the passion that many of these people have to help others, that no matter the circumstances that arise, they extend their hand to the fallen or to the needy.
In our Reading community, we can see such people in different capacities, such as: health clinics, mental health centers, social service agencies, community services, as well as social media and entertainment. We cannot ignore, that we can also see these agents of changes in friendships, neighbors or relatives that come into your life at the least expected time to give what you might not expect and thus help you meet a need. Giving is a privilege that fills with pure satisfaction the one who does it with kindness.
Therefore, I urge you to be all agents of change and to make our community a safe and healthy place to live.
