I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to the Palo Community. My name is Jocelyn Boettner and I am excited to be joining my husband, Josh Boettner, in Palo’s health corner. About a decade ago I was in my early 30s, yet I was chronically ill and fatigued. I was 225 pounds and had neglected myself and my wellbeing for years. I set out to learn how to heal my own body. That journey has led me to understand that you cannot just address one aspect of your being. If you go on a diet but do not address the emotions or trauma you are storing in your body, you may get results, but they will not last. I learned that I had to address not only my physical body but also my emotional, mental and spiritual bodies if I was to truly heal.
For over a decade I have studied and taught Nutrition, Yoga, Breath Work, Meditation, Energy Medicine, Religious Practices, Indigenous and Shamanistic Wisdom, Empowerment Methods, Fire Walking, Life Coaching and Quantum Physics. My studies have taken me backpacking through Egypt, Israel and Jordan to the Wendake Tribe in Quebec, Canada, and a year living in the mountains of Ecuador and in the Amazon of Peru.
In the past few months Josh and I have opened a joint venture here in the Berks County area called Soul Centered Wellness. We are excited to bring holistic coaching that is personalized for you to Berks County. We will continue to do corporate coaching, personal nutrition planning, and individual healing sessions as well as leading retreats and group classes. My plan is to use these monthly articles to help you learn how to balance and heal all four of your bodies so you can feel and live your best life.
