My name is Joana Espinoza, born in Portugal. I studied art in high school, something that I have always been passionate about, since I had the talent to draw from a young age. At that time I already loved photography, I made sessions for my school friends, but never thinking that this would be my profession in the future.
I came to the United States, I formed a family and I did not think about photography again until 2013 when I was looking at Facebook and there were photos of a professional wedding photographer, I went to their page, “wow how beautiful” I thought, and I spent all day watching photos and the passion that until then had been numbed woke up, I got excited and I wanted to do something like that. I knew it would not be easy because I had no friends or contacts that could support me in my new idea but I was willing to give it a hard try. I spoke of my idea with my husband and received his support! I bought a camera and dedicated the first year to sessions and learning how to use the camera and the editing tools. I helped several times a local photographer with events and every time I was more fascinated with photography and what I could do with a camera. Today I specialize in Weddings and Quinceañeras events and I continue doing family sessions, children, headshots, etc.
I have always loved challenges and my dream has always been to get away in my profession. I really want to improve myself more every day, to be able to offer my clients the best of me, to be able to portray from my point of view such a special day for them. And even if they do not realize, I live their day with them, and I get excited, I laugh, I cry, even hidden behind the camera, but it is those beautiful feelings that make me passionate in what I do. It’s a big responsibility and it’s been years of hard work, but it’s really very beautiful and exciting. ¡I have the best job in the world!
